Initial Thoughts

Hello, my name is Tim Emig and I completed my Master’s of Science in Information System Management with a specialization in Cybersecurity at CSU Global a little over a year ago. I am currently working on my Doctor of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance at Colorado Technical University. My current class is at Colorado Technical University is CS875 Futuring and Innovation. This class will assist in developing the skills necessary for futuring and methods of innovation. 

While conducting research for a course in my Master’s program, I came across research articles related to quantum computing. The technology associated with quantum computing fascinated me. So much so, that I have decided to conduct the research for my dissertation around the technologies associated with quantum computing. 

The purpose of this blog is to create a clearing house of sorts for thoughts and ideas related to quantum computing, especially as quantum computing relates to cybersecurity. Future posts will include topics related to cybersecurity and quantum computing, not only in the areas of encryption, but also protection against intrusion detection and DDoS mitigation. Resources related to these topics will also be included as I come across them.
